spent most

of today catching up on some much needed sleep. was nice to get to sleep in but didnt think i would sleep in as late as i did *whoops*
ah well no biggie, just tried to make myself look semi decent enough to walk down the street with lil ron and clyde and not look like i had just crawled out of bed 30 minutes prior.
we met mother, my owen, my wyatt, and my nephew brandon at the end of the road for a swim and some fun in the sun ~

all went good at first, of course owen saw me and wanted to be held by mama ~ so sweet! so i snuggled him for a bit while lil ron took clyde into the sound.. than i went to take over after passing owen back off to mother.. he loves playing this game of jumping between us *lol* he does it with just about anyone (meaning Ron and my mil as well) ..
so out into the water i took my clyde.. hes such a good swimmer although something has got to be done about his claws *ouch*

he was doing real well for a good while but we have a good way to go still.. he got a little *attitude* when i wouldnt drop his leash.. you see when its just us there thats not an issue but with others there as there was today, it is an issue.. specially when maxine is down there with her owner.. now my clyde is a good pup well behaved most of the time but i dont know what his tolerance is for having a dogs nose up his puppy butt and for how long he will take it before telling them no more kwim?

so once the attitude started, i tried to get him to *chill* when that didnt work i knew it was time for my clyde to go home ~

we got to the house and it was already 5pm so i opted to go ahead and shower and get him his bath..

lil ron came home not to much later and after he ate, we took clyde for a walk before the other guys came home from mothers house..

clyde did really well, we decided after seeing my sister outside to stop and see if she wanted to join us with her jo ~ so we all walked together for a short bit, you know i dont know what it is about jo.. but its the only neighborhood dog that i just cant seem to get my clyde to stop barking at *argh* and btw his bark is getting much louder ~

after walking for a bit they did chill out so all was well.. once home, it wasnt more than 5 minutes when mother was pulling up with owen and wyatt..

all boys are in bed now, rons on his way home and *woohoo* is bringing me a french vanilla capachino (killed that spelling im sure)

annoyed

haha it dont take long to find things to write about..

i was waiting for ron to call me back and decided to jump in the tub and shave, ah the *fun* stuff we women get to do huh? anyways i hear my phone go off.. no biggie ron knew i was going to jump in the tub tonight i will call him when i get out..

which is when i hear the wildabeast complaining that *all he does is call her all night long* uh who cares? hes calling my cell phone retard and its none'ya if he calls me or how often he does.. *grr* so than i hear the old religious one say *well he dont call her early in the morning* and the wildabeast responds with *well he did the other morning* again its NONE'YA *grr* yes he called me the other morning early *hurry up alert the highest of athorities* geesh!! he called me BACK but you know when you were nose'n around to see what was going on, what was being said.. you didnt figure that out because your a flipping retard now repeat after me.. its NONE'YA who calls my cellphone that i pay for .. got it? good ...
yeah right i wish...

than clyde apparently was chew'n his butt (who knows, i know he needs a bath tomorrow .. maybe he just had an itch?) so everyone has to run to see the itchy butt pup.. better alert the news, clydes got an itch.. gonna be the top story tonight and on the front pages of the paper tomorrow...
anyways so again the wildabeast says to the religious one *he has fleas* uh scuse me?? so when i get out of the tub .. i as nicely as i can.. say to the wildabeast *just so you know, clyde doesnt have fleas.. hes only had one flea and it was when we first brought him home* duh i mean this is why i buy the shampoos and what not for him.. to avoid the flea thing .. stupid! than he informs me that because clyde goes outside dont i think he has fleas? uh no.. again... this is why he is bathed weekly and why i use all the special stuff on him.. and why i havent seen one flea dead or alive on him.. grrr

i swear sometimes i cant stand where we live.. but i grin and bare it or is that bear it? *hmm*

ah well life is what it is for now..

back from walking

well i was a good mom and decided not to embarrass the kiddo and rather than walk the neighborhood in my sleep pants did slide on some jeans.. he threatened to walk behind me if i didnt *lol*
clyde is now wore out and getting some sleep.. hes such a good boy when walking.. ignores all the barking dogs, there were only 2 that we ran into tonight.. one which is normal and the other was one of the drunkards dogs, apparently she decided that since she had the rednecks over for a *get together* that she should put her dog outside of her fenced in area and just let him roam the street in front of her house *rolls eyes* but my clyde was good.. just looked at him like he was stupid as he came up behind us barking ~

tried to stop by my sisters to see if she wanted to walk down to the water tomorrow with her jo but she wasnt home, apparently she had decided to run to walmart tonight instead of going last night.. sean said it was because my bil worked to late last night.

this week will be semi busy ~ monday and tuseday will be normal, school than home and to the water im sure, wednesday little ron has no school because he is one of two kids in his math class that doesnt need to take the final because his grade is so high!! yep my boy ROCKS! what can i say im just so proud of him ~

thurseday is my nephew brandons *8th grade celebration* ah the names they give *graduation* down here ~ mom asked me if i wanted to ride with her to it.. its at like 10am and i told her that i could.. i guess a part of me is still a bit upset how my sister acted last year at little rons 8th grade celebration.. ah well cant punish the child for the actions of the parent huh?

than later that afternoon i have that final meeting for wyatt with special education.. hopefully we will hear something good on that ~

friday is the last day of this school year, only a half day actually, but we have the 1st grade picnic that day.. little ron keeps trying to tell me that he dont have to go to his last day of school and should go with us but i disagree *lol* i guess in the end it will depend on when he gets his report card etc... all they are doing that last day at his school is hanging out and helping the teachers get ready for summer (putting things up and in storage etc) ~

rons working again tonight *blah* hopefully he has another semi decent night again like he did last night, i love it when he gets a chance to call me..

i think tomorrow we will be taking clyde to the water, i know i need to get clyde used to going with owen.. but apart of me is afraid of clyde not listening and than being the bad mom for making everyone come home earlier than normal.. i think this week we are going to work on it, during the week i dont see as much of an issue, not like on the weekends when its so over crowded its hard to find a place to breath much less a place to keep everyone happy ~

i think i will invest in one of them play yard fence area things though, taking owen down there he wants to crawl around more so than sit still, with one of them i can put it up without taking to much room, put a blanket down and give him a place to sit and play and crawl around without worring about him going over the edge.. i surely will not banish him to it but just use it as a safer place for him to play.. i think i need to invest in a good beach umbrella as well. *argh* i can see my future, walking down the road with an over loaded busch cart.. between baby stuff and boy stuff.. this will be interesting and fun all mixed into one.

ah well.. time for me to go wonder around the web to see if there are any updates anywhere.. dont be surprised if i dont find more to blog about later ..

i hadnt planned

on taking the kids to the water at all today as i knew it would be redneck and drunkard filled. i wish i could explain how annoying these people are, but im sure it will never come out exactly how bad it is down there when they are all down there ~

i did end up down there though, this is the first time since owen has been born that i have had them near these people.. i was a bit nervous that one might try to talk to me.. but was equally happy when a majority of them just went on with there beer drinking and what not.
lil ron had asked if he could take his fishing cart down to the end of the road to fish, the child was bored out of his mind so i agreed that he could with the clear understanding that he was not to swim .. i sometimes feel horrid for that as i know that at a much younger age both my sister and i were swimming freely in bogue sound without someone watching us, heck at his age we were wandering around and swimming to places that we shouldnt have ~ the island across the way (just a small island in the sound) and up a few of the channels ~ but still i worry with him being down there on his own..

wyatt had woken up not feeling to well this morning, i think part of it was that the ac is , now running and the temp change, but he also complained about a head ache so i gave some tylenol and some cough meds .. which ended him taking a little nap early this afternoon.. which is fine, he needed the sleep. however when he woke up he convinced me to walk down with him to see what lil ron was doing.. so i got everyone ready and off to the water we went..

of course it was redneck filled and now instead of just maxine running free, we have some small ankle biters to deal with *joy* looks like my clyde will have lots to snack on this summer *lol*
they for the most part ignored my owen which was fine with me. i was surprised to see that the rednecks kid wasnt stuck in some kind of cage this year, well at least not today.. maybe he out grew his cages?
its to my understanding that next week the older child to the redneck mom will be here .. it was strange.. after living here for their first year all of the suddon this 10 year old was produced, i can only assume that the daddy has custody of him and IMO for good reason. well apparently as we were on our way down, the redneck lady told my little ron that the kid will be here next week and that he (lil ron) needed to be down there so he had someone to play with and teach him how to fish.. whatever *rolls eyes*
well as i said we got there and i was holding my owen.. letting him put his toes in the water.. and i notice my wyatt talking to the drunkard who owns maxine.. well apparently she told wyatt she didnt see his grandma.. and he said *my moms here* and she said *oh mom brought you down here for a change* uh lady, i have lived at the water the last 2 years with my kids.. please lay off the beer its killing your brain cells and quickly *rofl*

walking home, a down the street neighbor asked if lil ron had caught any fish, he told her no.. she couldnt believe that he fished down there as there is never any room. apparently her son wishes to have his birthday party down at the end of the road this summer however she fears she would have to be sitting down there starting at 6am to get the area for his birthday...

geesh.. well i will have to add more later, the kiddo now wants me to take him and our clyde for a walk ... lovely...
do i have to get dressed for this?? *wonders*

jon and kate plus eight

this has been in the news alot lately.. ever since it was *alleged* that jon had an affair. in all fairness, no one knows what happened between jon and the other woman but them. so all i can say is *alleged*.
i finally got the chance to sit down and watch the latest episode of jon and kate plus eight.. i will admit that normally im a hit or misser when it comes to the show. its not on my list of must see reality type tv but i have been known to watch it from time to time.
i have noticed that in previous showes kate tends to be the *louder* more *pushier* of the two and jon has always seemed to take that *back seat* .. she reminded me of the more dominate one in there relationship while he was more of the one that did the backbends when they were necissary (geesh please excuse i just cant seem to spell tonight). and i personally think every relationship has that.. one who bends and one who is more dominate. even in my own relationship, my husband is the more dominate one and im a leaner.. does that mean that he walks all over me, no it simply means that either i dont care (example.. where to eat dinner at when going out) or i just give in to his pouting *rofl*
anyways.. back to jon and kate...
what seemed to start out as a couple who went threw so much to have kids in the first place.. first getting twins and than the six (not sure what thats called.. sextuplets??) anyways.. this family who after having 8 kids, decided to somewhere for there own reasoning start this tv show..
with this latest show.. in the interviews i saw a harder jon.. one that is just tired.. could be from the alleged affair or it could be that hes just tired of the whole media whoopla.. lets face it when positive media was coming there way he seemed to always be the more relaxed of the two..
kate however seemed more hurt, more upset.. more wondering what the furture would hold for them as a couple.. and i cant blame her.. could you imagine all these years of this *perfect* family on the verge of *poof* after a whirlwind of bad press?
sitting there wondering.. will you ever take the planned trips, will you ever have that one more family photo.. questions that cant be answered.
the family who once lived in the modest house which they remodled to give rooms for there growing family.. a boys room.. a little girls room and the twins room.. to a huge house in what looks like the country.
a dad and mom who drove vans around with enough space to haul either most of or all of there kiddos (i believe it was a mini van and of course the huge one).. now a dad who drives a 2 seater sports car? cant say what mom drives as it wasnt in there..
its obvious that the life style they are now living is more extravigant than the simple life they once lived.. but it dont seem like either isnt enjoying the extra money they are seeing.
it was said that jon quit working 2 years ago to become a stay at home dad.. something that he seemed to complain about.. which to me is just crazy. does he not know how many men would love love love to do this with their kids? and with all of the kids in school now, why isnt he working even part time? maybe part time in the office and part time at home.. he could still have a career and be there for his kids when kate is out doing her thing.
kate gave up her job to stay home and care for the kids and that was fine.. but now its not because she is more the bread winner than he is?
i think jon misses the simple life.. the life when he could walk out and be with his family without people chasing them down to get photos..
i think kate enjoys the career that she has found with writting about her family and doing speaking engagemens.. maybe they both lost each other along the way.. but i still have hope for them.. if there family is trully what they both want than they will have it.
do i think that kate should have to give up her new career.. nope i dont, i think that she can write from home .. do less public speaking so she is home more and gone less .. a good comprimise to there situation. jon could work part time from home or an office while the kids are in school and continue on with his career..
as for the show, well that is up to them both.. if it were me, i would drop the show.. only doing a special show every so often.. maybe do a show in a year.. jon and kate plus eight one year later. and leave it at that.. or the gossiline (sp) 6 turn 10... something like that.
as with any show, after so many episodes, it just gets old.

i seriously need

to head out and go bathing suit shopping soon. although i do dread it, its a needed wardrobe piece for my summer days ~
Rons working tonight, he took the last two days off which was nice, we were really starting to miss him bunches. although im semi used to the long hours, i still dont have to like them do i?
the last few days (well yesterday and today) found me and the boys down at the water. little ron text'd me asking if we could go swimming.. i told him to let me ask wyatt and well it wasnt long and wyatt was jumping around saying *yes yes yes* so off we went. got a little more time today as we left just as soon as they both were home from school.
im very proud of wyatts swimming.. for a child who has yet to have lessons, he is doing great. i still make him stay where he can easily put his feet down.. but he does good for someone who was self taught. freaked me out last year when he surprised me with *look what i can do* we had gone to swim with my *sister* sue who was down visiting with her parents and son.. the condo they were staying in had an indoor pool .. something needed during spring break as the days are beautiful and warm but the water isnt quite there yet and feels more like swimming in ice.
wyatt had convinced me to let him play in the pool without his floaties on.. and i agreed under the understanding that he would stay where he could touch and not go past that rope!
yeah that didnt work.. i was talking with sue i believe and i heard.. hey mommy look at this.. and off he went *argh* talk about a heart attack on the inside.. but i kept my calm and he did great. our new rule became he could do it but only if lil ron or i was next to him incase he got tired so we could push him to the side.. hes been swimming ever since.
although i do still think he needs lessons.
lil ron is a great swimmer, he had taken lessons when he was younger. i think we started when he was in kindergarten if not smaller than that. at the time they only offered up to lesson 5 and he went threw all of them.. took lesson 5 twice as a matter of fact.
owen seems to be enjoying the water. he will start out in his floatie thing and last for maybe 5-10 minutes in that.. after which he just wants you to hold him and play with him.. which for me is something i have to get used to.. i cant hold him and not touch bottom at the same time and i soo hate touching the bottom of the sound *rofl*
so that has been our last 2 days.. swimming for a few hours every night after school. tomorrow we will take a break as the end of the road will be over crowded with people and that makes it not so much fun..
if the little'r guys head to moms house tomorrow evening, than i told lil ron we would take clyde down for a bit on sunday.. probably after everyone else is gone from the water. the thing with clyde and owen at the same time is they both want to be held and until clyde gets used to just swimming on his own without making me hold him, its a bit harder to deal with both at once.. so i need to keep working on clyde when it comes to the swim thing.

Tis the season...

For swim suit shopping *eeek* yes its that much dreaded time of year again.
I hate clothes shopping as it is but swim suit shopping is the worst. Its so hard to find * that suit * you know the one that is not only *supportive* but still stylish.. The one that hides the parts you don't want seen but at the same time don't put you in something your grandmother would happily wear. I haven't even peep'd at this years patterns or the favorite colors for this year.. Yes the whole thing scares the jeebies out of me.
I seriously do wonder about clothing designers.. Flow'y tops with extra room for the size 3 crowd and spandex filled tops for the plus size gals.. Who thought this up? And although they must get a discount on fabric that had to have been engineered for a very ugly couch that flopped on the show room floor. Why did they think that although you didn't want it in your house, you would want to strut around town in it?
In a recent trip to walmart while detouring threw womens clothing to avoid the traffic jam on the main isle.. I couldn't help but notice when mother paused to see that spandex have made a come back.. Oh geesh and here I thought wd were free from that battle with her forever.. As I slowed I as nice as possible reminded her that she had a bit to many assests to show off and that spandex on no level were flattering. Argh no mother I don't care how many pairs you can buy for that amount of money.
Yes clothes shopping not my favorite.. Swim suits even less.. And this year per the older kiddos request mother is to buy a new one as well.. Oh how does one convince her that although you may be able to squeeze into a 14 your still an 18 and well its just not working not one little bit.

Save me

From my children... Yes its been one of those nights!
Everything was good, kids staggered into the door.. First wyatt and than about 20 minutes later lil ron. Homework was completed without having to call in the army, navy, or national guard so that in itself was not only a rarity but an awesomely pleasant experience.
And than I made the mistake...
At least I admit it being my mistake...
I agreed to take all 3 boys and clyde swimming.. Duh duh duh (that's my scary theme music stuff..)
So off we head down the road knowing that owen and I would not be jumping in as the amount of time to shower and to do make up to run to subway to pick up wyatts lunch for tomorrow would just be a waste of time..
geesh had i known ahead of time what a wild monster this would cause clyde to be, i would have either left him home or went ahead and jumped in.. talk about a monster!
and than owen started to fuss a bit because he wanted to crawl around all over the ground and well, we were trying to keep clean .. well at least semi clean *lol*
it was crazy is all have to say, crazy beyond crazy *lol*
we figured out that clydes problem has something to do with some of us (me and owen) being on the upper part of the land and the boys being in the water, you see yesterday it was just lil ron and i.. and during that time, we were both in the water and clyde was a swimming fool.
when its just us down there we tend to let him run freely with his leash still attached to his collar so that we can *grab* if someone was to show up. with him running up and down we had issues right there.
with owen, i was letting him furniture surf on the picnic table (the seat part with feet on the ground) but he kept wanting to go exploring further. since this area is also used for fishing, i do have to worry about hooks in the grass (we have found them before) ...
so after an hour or so this mama had enough and it was time to head to the house..
once we got to the house, go figure owen wanted to be held.. as he was chasing me down.. i was trying to chase wyatt into the shower to get that salt water off of him..
finally after what seemed like a decade .. everyone was showered and relaxing and i could run to subway to get wyatts lunch for his trip tomorrow to the aquarium.. it is his last trip of the year ~ weather permitting im sure, they are also planning on heading to the wooden park which has always been a favorite of ours to go to when possible.. the wooden park is awesome and yes im a mama who runs threw it with her kiddos chasing them down and playing on all the toys *lol*
finally its bed time and im ushering the kids into the *sleep mode* so far one down and two to go.. why is it that the day before a special day at school.. kids are so hard to get to go to sleep?
anyways.. so that was my crazy day..
i think next time we take our trip to the water, either we all go in or clyde will stay home. im not yet sure how owen will do in the water, this is his first summer going in.. so hopefully he will enjoy swimming..
he should .. after all he loves bath time .. well all but the repeated *no.. sit down* the funny thing is that as soon as he learned to roll over, he was a belly bather, of course under my watchful eye at all times.. now that he has learned to pull himself up, he thinks he should stand in the tub.. a big no no as its too dangerous ...but we are quickly working on that and hopefully he will get it all soon enough.

you know the best things about kids, they keep life interesting.

i did find out tonight when i talked to ron on the phone that he is taking both wed and thurs off .. im soo happy! i miss him so much. the past few days he has put in some extra long hours, last night especially.. he was working from about 10:30am and didnt get home until after 3am.. i was up with owen for our nightly wake up.. i will be happy when he goes back to sleeping all night long.. should be soon now that he has cut his 6th tooth although i havent been given the chance to peep in there to see if any more are fixing to cut.

Good morning..

*lil* ron and wyatt are already off to school and their days have begun..
I was hoping to be able to crawl/sneek back into bed but no such luck. Owen woke up just before wyatts bus arrived.
So after seeing 2 kids onto the bus and my little man diaper changed and a bottle all made up, clyde let out and than back into the house.. And now cozy'd up next to me on the couch..
I decided to play around with my newest added app ... Facebook ~
Now I will admit that I have never been a huge facebook fan as well to be quite honest I think its rather boring. Your hands seem to be pretty tied as far as customizing it as well as who seriously is going to spend real money to buy a fake gift to send to a friend? Seriously that part kinda blew me away. I'm more abt to say * close your eyes and picture a big brown soft snuggly teddy bear.. There I sent it to you * and than I can save my dollar. Okay now I'm sure that I might be missing something, so I'm trying to keep an open mind.
The one thing I will give facebook is the security being that no one could possibly know if your the john doe they are looking for unless they approve you.. Just hope your not wrong because you may have just opened yourself to a stalker weirdo. But I will give it sometime to figure things out.
The mobile version however is about as *blah* as the myspace one. They tend to leave out certain elements that leaves you wondering why wouldn't they add a button for that? With myspace for me it was the blog although I do like my new blog here .. And with facebook I can't find or help but to wonder about why would they not give the ability to write on your own wall.
The wall concept however reminds me a bit of twitter. Another site that all I could think was *why* ... However I admit I twitter more now that I have gotten used to it. I am however a bit confused how some who have never twitted a single letter much less a word have 12 or more followers.

My babies r home now..

They have been with mother since friday night. Although I did enjoy my little break from wyatt and owen, I sure did miss them!
Wyatt gave me a huge hug and is now relax'n on the couch watching tv before going to sleep.
Owen came home with a new tooth (now he has 6) and he came home crawling like an olympic crawler. Now its not that he hasn't crawled before because he has.. Its just that his favorite modes of *transportation* are scooting and furniture surfing. Both of which if they were olympic events I know he would have the gold medal. But now, he just seems to b crawling more.
Some days I just wish he would slow down just a bit...

an awesome band

well at least i think so.. although they i dont believe have made it to big yet (??) i love there song *thats cold*
sadly i cant find them on project playlist *blah* although i did find them on myspace *woo hoo* but that does nothing for my player here *figures huh?*
anyways you might want to check them out..

bench grinder

like i said, personally i think they rock the song *thats cold* but let me know what you think

went

for another walk with lil ron and clyde.. this time there was no one at the water and i was a bit smarter and wore shorts ~
lil ron went ahead and jumped in first, took clyde with him and than clyde came running out like a mad dog *lol* he was having a ball.. so i than went ahead and jumped in as well.
the water was perfectly warm! sadly we couldnt stay to long though ~
came home and took shower and gave clyde a bath plus started laundry. now all thats left is getting human looking so i can run to the store in a bit.
something tells me summer has *officially* started for us, i can already hear the kiddos tomorrow after school and homework is all done *mom can we go to the little beach*

talked to ron not long ago, hes doing okay.. slow out there today though which sucks. maybe it will pickup for him soon. at least i hope it will. not sure how long he is planning on staying out tonight though, guess we will have to just wait and see.

my younger guys will be home soon.. mom normally brings them home around bedtime. hopefully they had a nice lazy day today.. she also has my nephew brandon with her at her house too. wyatt loves it when brandon comes. she sent me a picture of my owen crawling, something he dont do much of here, here is a scooter.. well that and a stander but maybe that will stop now that from what she says he has been doing it so much the past few days.

walked

clyde down to the water... thought for sure maxine would start with him like she did the deaf boxer last year but surprisingly she didnt.
met some nice ladies who talked to us.. the drunkards of course pretended like we didnt exist which is totally fine with me..
im just gonna take each day this summer as they come to see how things go down there..
the sad thing is we love going to the water and just dread the drama of these ppl.. thankfully monday threw friday its not so bad.. but weekends are for shit

not sure what

we will be doing today.. ron just left for work, wyatt and owen spent another night at moms last night so they wont be home till later tonight.
i think maybe little ron and i will take a walk in a bit with clyde.. maybe down to the water. im not sure whats been going on down there but the way i understand it, the past few days it has been a wall of cars.
just means this summer is going to be very interesting to say the least.
you know its not that people go down there to enjoy the water its just that the drunkards and rednecks get on my nerves...
the drunkards are a group of women (and very few husbands) who like to go down there and sun and drink all day.. not a huge deal i mean they are just enjoying there day and it wasnt so bad until the rednecks came into the picture.
the rednecks, now im not sure where they came from origionally but they poped up here a few years ago. apparently the dad to the husband lives on moms street down by the water. im guessing thats how they found the area and decided to move here.
they started by renting a house behind my sisters house, again a house with water access (sorta) its a house that ron and i had rented years ago. cute 3 bedroom 2 bath that in the past 9/10 years has become over priced as many in the area have. when we rented it we paid $450 a month.. now its up near $900 a month... yeah huge hike in only a short period of time.
our first *introduction* to the rednecks was when they showed up at the water to hang out with the drunkards..
the *wife* redneck was preggo at the time and smoking like a mad woman in her bikini top with shorts .. proudly showing off not only her baby bump but her over stretched belly tattoo..she was pretty close to her due date from what we heard..
sure enough not more than a few weeks after they moved in she had her baby boy. cute kid born into the worst family.. okay maybe thats a bit judgemental because i only see what happens at the water.. but maybe if i explain more you will understand.
just days after having their little man they were at the water, he couldnt have been more than 3/4 days old.. and they quickly placed his car seat/carrier jobbie with him in it a good distance from them with the sun beating down on him as they proceeded to drink heavily.. now i know im not a saint when it comes to my kiddos and im for sure not mother of the year material .. but i also know that its not right to do this with your child.
soon after that they started bringing various things down to put him in.. a playpen etc still out in the hot sun for anywhere from 5/6 hours a day if not longer as they got there drink on and partied it up with the drunkards.. this happened every time that someone was down there..
really started getting on our nerves.. specially when the drunkards started to step in to make sure he was okay.. moving him closer to them to look after because mom was to busy getting her drink on.. bringing an unbrella to keep him shaded since mom and dad wouldnt make the investment of one.. etc etc etc
this past summer we were dying to see what would happen as we knew that he would be mobile more so than the year before, well sure enough they showed up and had one of them fence things in tow.. the ones that you can put up wherever... so i thought *hmm* now im not against these things and have even considered getting one for owen so he could play outside and i not have to worry about him getting to far, he isnt walking on his own yet and isnt a fan of the grass either, so i though toss a blanket in the bottom with some toys and walla hes good to go while i do stuff with the bigger boys, clean up after clyde, whatever right?
well when the rednecks decided to use one of these on there little man again they placed him away from the *crowd* and proceeded to leave him there.. haha, hes bigger and smarter .. so in turn to get some attention he picked up part of the fence thing and walked towards mom... to which he was discapplined for doing so. we only saw the fence thing once.. after that it was back to a playpen where when he tried to get out of it, he was quickly swatted and told no...
the best though was when they brought one of them driveable camper deals and parked it at the end of the street and stuck him in his playpen in that while they proceeded to party it up with the drunkards.
the drunkards the past few years have gotten worse as well.. from just a group of gossiping ladies enjoying a few beers and sunning.. they have turned into all out partiers who rigged a way to tie there jet skis up down there and drink and jet ski till there hearts desire ~ which drives me nuts because last year one lady decided to plow right between where my babies and nephews were playing *grr* shes lucking i didnt beat her...
than to top it off the older rednecks (parents to the husband redneck) decided that even though they have water access it would be great to park there boat at the end of the street on the opposite side of the jet skis.. so picture this..
you have jet skis on one side.. your kiddos playing in the middle and a huge boat on the other side of your kids..
grant it the little beach area is for all to enjoy but they are getting way out of hand with everything down there.. and its enough to drive you insane. during the week we are pretty lucky to have it to ourselves or mellowed down there but come the weekend it normally turns into an impossible place to enjoy.
there is one lady who always brings her dog and dont get me wrong shes a good dog but if you have another dog down there the lady gives you hell for it, i mean dont let your dog even look at hers funny.. but this year we are going to have it out. because my clyde is coming with us, he will be on his leash and i will remind her of the town leash law and tell her maybe she needs to put hers on one..
ahh yes this is going to be an intersting summer thats for sure!

took clyde

a puppy pic of our clyde.. i need to update his pics from my camera to comp.

for a walk tonight.. went around twice and than anther half of time with him. he did really well, minded his manners most of the time (ignoring other dogs in the neighborhood) and stayed right by my side where he belongs.
we were supposed to walk with my sister and jo (her boxer) but she started not feeling well so it was just me, lil ron, and clyde.
we did get to spend a bit of time at my sisters house and tried to get jo and clyde to get along. i dont know what it is.. clyde does so well ignoring most of the neighborhood dogs, although he did talk to *chuck* another boxer that lives down the street but for some reason him and jo just seem to do alot of barking. specially clyde tonight, i just wish i could figure out why. grant it clyde hasnt been around many other dogs ..
we have had him so far around a friends great dane and they get along really well, weve also had him around another friends pitt bull pup and although they seemed to get along really well, the pitt bull did bug me a bit, but i am woman enough to admit that although i know you shouldnt judge a breed by what you hear, i do have a hard time not doing it with pitt bulls..
other neighborhood dogs he tends to ignore for the most part which is what we want him to do.. but when it comes to jo.. i just dont know. im hoping that we can socialize them more and hopefully they will work it out but it will take some time i think.
i think tomorrow we might take clyde for a walk at one of the local trails again. we took him last week on one of the larger trails that takes you into the croatan national forrest and he did really well.. wore his butt out thats for sure *lol*
clyde has been an awesome addition to our family. years ago we had a bullmastiff mix named *grunt* he was an awesome pup.. sadly he left our family way to fast. grunt was well trained and never ever went near the street. we had a friend over and his girlfriend (at the time) .. they were having problems with her soon to be ex husband .. that night, we had let grunt out to use the bathroom.. he kept semi asking to go out, he woud stare at us and than run to the door.. so we let him out. little did we know that he would end up running into the street and end up being hit by a car. we feel that he was chasing someone out of the yard.. but we will never know for sure.
it wasnt long after loosing our grunt that we started researching the bullmastiff breed. we had read up on them and really looked hard into them for .. well its been about 12 years now, maybe more.
we did what any dog owner shouldnt do after loosing a dearly departed fur baby.. we ran out and started looking for him. we found *him* in a golden retriever/german sheppard mix who we brought home and named georgie. she was a good dog, had a strange obsession with her feet though ~ we had her for quite a few years before life took over and we just didnt have the time to dedicate to her. so instead of thinking about us, we thought about her and let my mom take her home and adopt her. she was happy, loved and the best part was we could still see her. georgie had an issue before with her ear that we had surgery on to correct. well apparently at some point the same thing had happened to the other ear and i was told that mother was going to take her to the vet.. the next time i saw georgie she looked fine. so i thought the problem had been corrected, we were told that the only way to fix it was surgery so when you dont see a huge swollen ear you automatically think it was taken care of.
i was working at the time and my boys (wyatt and lil ron) were at mothers house. wyatt was only 2 years old at the time and the kids were just in moms room.. lil ron asking about something on his homework and wyatt playing quietly on the floor.. and thats when it happened.. georgie attacked wyatt. it was horrible.. we had to rush him to the ER and have him all fixed up.. he ended up with 13 stitches. normally they dont stitch bites but because it was located on his upper lip they stitched him. it was little ron who pulled georgie off of his little brother.
luckly wyatt has never had any ill feelings towards dogs even after the attack. georgie .. well mom tried to keep her but seperate her from the kids when they were around. when she went after a neighbor kid mom decided that there was nothing she could do. georgie was unadoptable due to her attacking kids.. so she had to be put down.
i later learned that the issue with her ear was never fixed and was told it *just went away* i sometimes wonder if it didnt shoot straight to her brain causing her to loose her mind.
as i said over the years we had looked at the bullmastiff breed.. and we continued to do so. but we didnt want to rush into anything.. we wanted to take our time and really look and make sure that we were ready completely and totally before adopting a pup into our family.
with grunt being gone so long and georgie also.. we decided that the time was right. we were origionally looking at a great dane breeder and were waiting for another litter to be born when i decided to check the raliegh news paper. and thats when i found the listing for the bullmastiff pups.
we called and they had 8 pups total.. 4 boys and 4 girls.
we made arrangements to come see the pups on valentines day.. and so that morning we got the kids up and off we went.
when we got there, there were only 3 males left and all 4 girls. we knew that we wanted a boy.. so that part was easy. when the man brought out the pups one was quickly X'd off our list becuase it was too skittish.. which left 2, clyde and his brother... if we had the money i would have loved to bring both of them home.
clyde was supposed to be the most aggressive out of the litter but let me tell you for an aggressive dog he is sure as hell lazy *lol*
he is the sweetest thing.. owen crawls all over him, pulls on him.. *pets* him .. you name it clyde could care less. he isnt food agressive or anything.. which is awesome. he is very smart but also very stuborn .. which is normal with the breed ~ we have started from day one on some training .. sit he has down pack, we are now working harder on *down* (lay down) .. stay..
when walked he isnt allowed the full leash, he has to stay right next to my side at all times. he is also not allowed to bark at other dogs, he is to just ignore them.. these things he has mastered.
we are still working on excitement when it comes to people coming to the house but alot of that is training them to not talk to him.. to just ignore him until he settles down. we are also working on barking in the house for no reason.. like today he was talking to the dog across the street .. thankfully that dog isnt here all the time and only here for short periods of time. its a yellow lab that will bark all day long..
but that is a jist of the story behind our clyde ...
if you like big dogs, and i mean big lazy dogs.. i would suggest looking into the breed.. both the bullmastiff and the english mastiff are wonderful family dogs for the extra large breed lovers ~ a bullmastiff is the shorter of the two only topping at 27 inches tall (from shoulder to floor) vs the english mastiff which tops out at 30 inches.
also great danes seem to be rather well behaved family dogs.. maybe someday we will add one to our family.. im still keeping a close eye on the breeder we were origionally looking at.. they just had 2 of the cutest pups.. ah so hard to resist *lol*

wow ...

it seems to be sinking in little by little how much of this school year is actually left. only 9 more days of actual school (excluding weekends and days off of course).
not sure what our summer plans are as of yet.. well other than the obvious.. days down at the water swimming and enjoying the sun.. but you know.. any trips planned.
we normally like to take the kids to the zoo each year .. the zoo is about a 6 hour drive (give or take) one way.. so its a weekend or a 3 day trip for us. we go up, stay the night, hit the zoo, stay the night and than head home.
if we do make it this year, it will be owens first time since he has been born that we would be going.. last year when we went i was waddle'n around the zoo paths with my big ole preggo belly.
another place i would like to head to is the NC battle ship.. cant even remember how long ago it was that we were there.. wyatt was much much younger i can tell you that much ~ its not as big of a trip only about a 2 hour drive (give or take) but its so cool to see.. you just freely wander around the ship and look at different things. its a self guided tour kind of deal.
what would really be nice to do would be to take a week and just cruise the blue ridge parkway stopping only when we want to and just kinda winging it..
ahh decisions decisions.

well that took a while to get

the hang of.. who would have thought figuring out the background and music thing would take one so long?
okay so the music one was easy.. its nice to finally be able to play my project playlist somewhere again.. i must admit i was a bit upset when myspace got rid of it.. do they not realize how much time one puts into finding the different songs? *lol* ah well such is life i suppose.. although now i have more to add and probably some that need to be removed.. just more fun ~
background wise it was a bit longer .. i think i will just leave it here for now and play with it more and more little by little over time..

anyways.. not much going on here today, ron is off to work already, the younger guys still at moms and the bigger guy is out with uncle paul .. although im not sure where they went to..

as for me.. im in desperate need of a shower and instead of being in there already and looking human by now i have instead decided to sit here and play with this *lol*

gonna take clyde for a walk tonight.. he needs a good walk, gonna meet up with my sister and her jo (boxer) and try to walk the guys together. were trying to get them used to each other as we will be spending alot of time together this summer at the water and im planning on bringing clyde alot. of course this will probably end up in a war between me and the drunkards but im ready for it.. its odd how in a quiet community like ours where things are always so mellow.. you have the issues at the water *lol*
the drunkards and the rednecks keep us entertained thats for sure!

random thoughts ....

well i decided to take the time to play around with my blog online as ron is at work and the youngest 2 boys are at mothers for the full weekend. of course im also planning on catching up on some much needed sleep.
i dont know what it is but owen has been a monster to keep to sleep at night, ive tried everything.. gas meds, meds for his teething, bottle, bowl of cereal with fruit, less naps in the late afternoon etc etc etc.. but for some reason lately he has been up seems just as soon as i crawl into bed and he does NOT want to go back to sleep until some O'dark hundred hour in the morning. than me having to be up at 6am with the bigger boys .. ah its a mess but im determined to figure out the cause. i know there are some things that he cant help. for some reason teething seems to be the worst on him compared to how i remember the other 2 going threw it. but its the nights where he just wants to play.. yep play at 2am that will drive you a bit on the crazy side *lol*
i will admit that if i never get a full nights rest again owen is more than worth it.

had to run to the store tonight and pick up a few things.. got clyde on a new puppy food.. thankfully we have a local well semi local pet smart now. makes finding food for a large breed puppy much easier. not that feeding him is any cheaper but a big bag normally lasts about a month.. which for now isnt bad. hes been better behaved lately not that he is ever a bad boy because for the most part he is the laziest thing you will ever meet.. the bull mastiff breed by nature is a very lazy dog.. but we have had our share of *puppy issues* like his excitement when he sees the boys after school.. were still working on whos the *pack leader* and who is where in line. but are working on that. i think our biggest problem comes to friends and family who stop by. when they walk in the door they are told to ignore him .. we dont want him to be so over excited that he gets out of hand.. train him now you know? but man alive people just wont listen.. its like my mom for example.. i say *ignore him* and what does she do? looks at him.. uh no.. dont make eye contact.. just pretend he isnt even here. so she does.. but she lets him chew on her fingers.. uh wrong answer.. we dont let him do that.. its a big no no..
sometimes i think we need to train the company more so than the pup...

its hard to believe that school is ending so soon. wyatt has his last field trip of the year this coming week and than the next week is the last week of school. on the last day for wyatt is his school picnic and than thats it... not sure what all is planned for lil rons school or what they do them last 2 weeks. both boys already have there year books and both have been signed.
at the high school in the begining of the year all of the kids are given a school shirt. well little ron wore his to school today and had kids sign it as well.. which i thought was a cool idea.

Vent...

Okay so wyatt decided he wanted to go to mothers tonight to play xbox 360.. Not a big deal. So I call her and he goes..
Rule is he has to be home @ 9pm due to having school in the am and needing to go to bed.
Well at 9:20pm I call to find out where my young'n is only to find out that they fell asleep around 8:50pm .. At least that's the last time she looked at her watch. Not a huge deal, it happens but he still hadn't showered.. Which is where I get a little grr about it.
If you know the young'n has to be home by 9 wouldn't he be in or already showered by 8:50? Nope of course not.. So she rushes him into the shower and gets crabby with me .. Saying * did you want me to bring him home dirty * ugh what does that have to do with the fact that you were awake at 10 till 9 and he wasn't in the shower?
The only good thing is he didn't argue to much about going straight to bed.. At least I won't be up till all hours of the night trying to get him to bed knowing 6am comes early.. Or that I won't be crawling between the sheets just to have owen go off and to crawl right back out.

updates...

well thought i would update some things going on around here as its been a while since ive bloggged..

some sad news..
rons uncle charles passed away this past week. he was a great man and so full of life! we had gotten the chance to get up and spend some time with him a few years back as we were in charleston west virgina to meet up with a friend/sister of mine. just so happens that charleston west virginia is the half way point between her home in indiana and ours here on the coast of NC ~ anyways. we were able to spend some time with charles as he lived not far from charleston and it is a time i will never forget.. he will be missed by many...
RIP uncle charles

owen is doing good.. we now have 5 teeth and are working hard on tooth number 6. kept me up most of last night but it wasnt tooth related.. just one of them nights where he thought playing at 2am was the thing to do.. have you ever tried to convince a 9 month old that the *dark outside* ment *night time and time for sleep*?? yeah it dont go over very well.. luckly he didnt stay up to long after that .. but it was the keeping waking up that made the night just drag on.
we finally got the appointment date set to meet with special educaiton to find out how wyatts testing went.. im so nervous about this.. i think its the unknown side of things.. you know wondering what they could have found and what the outcome will be.. and to tell you the truth the waiting game is for the birds.. i just hope that there is a plan in place and we can get that ball rolling next year as soon as he starts school. such a trooper he is though, it seems that none of this extra testing etc really gets to him. plus i think it helped for him to know that not only did he get one of these *evelopes* to bring home to mom and dad.. but so did another child in his class as well..
little ron is busy hoping this recent weather would go away.. between the cold air, the higher winds and the rain.. well lets face it.. that means no taking his boat out. and although the winds and cold air should be gone this weekend.. the rain is still hanging out. ah looks like another weekend with no boating for him.. poor kid!
took clyde on a walk this past weekend on one of our local trails.. i thought for sure wyatt was going to fall out on me but he walked it like a trooper.. he did say he needed a rest at one point but funny how fast he was *Cured* when lil ron wanted to go check something out while he rested.. gotta go be curious with the big brother you know *lol* all in all the trial was 1.9 miles long and the kids and us had a blast.. clyde was wore out by the end of it and all was good. we had planned to take another local trail the next day but the rains came and so did the cold.. so now were waiting until they go away again..
as for me.. im still counting down till the end of the school year.. not much longer now. next week is wyatts last field trip as a first grader, than the following week is the last day of school and our first grade school picnic.. *wow* this school year has just flown by!

Owens 9 month doc appointment

Went good. No shots this time so that's always good. He is in the 75th % for both height and weight. He weighted in at 22 pounds 2 ounces and is 28 3/4 inches tall.
Everything else was good, which is always great!
There was another little boy waiting to see the doctor. Turns out he is the same age as owen, only 2 days younger than my Owen. Its odd though because although I know owen is large for his age (something I'm used to since we have * super sized kiddos * ) but it never really hits me until I see them around kids their age. Even wyatt who was 10 pounds 6 ounces at birth never seemed big to me until he was near another baby.
After the doc appointment we decided to go check out the hem to see if they had anything new. The hem (fyi) is a church ran second hand store.. They have some awesome deals on baby clothes. I think its the biggest place I'm addicted to shopping at for baby clothes but when you can buy name brands in great condition for so cheap who can not be addicted? To bad most everything else there is pretty much trash huh?
Anyways, found a few things for owen and saw a lot that I would have loved to buy.. If only I was preggo again I could have really went on a shopping spree *lol*
My mom picked little ron up from school today. You see he's bought me something from school for mothers day and now its hidden at moms house until sunday *argh* I keep trying to figure out what it could be but I'm clueless.. I know it cost $7.00 and had to be to big to bring home on the bus because he kept saying he had to get a ride home. All I know of that they are selling are donuts a dozen for $6.00 so I keep teasing him that it has to be a half dozen of stale donuts (and they would be by sunday) .. Only a half dozen due to the fact that I know he would eat/share with his friends the other half *lol*
He just laughted when I guessed a diamond tennis bracelet.. And laughed again when I said he was going to make me a card and keep the cash for himself.
They do have the plant sale going on but they are $5.00 for the small and $10.00 for the large.. I know because we already spent $60 at the plant sale ... I can't wait to see what he bought I know I'm going to love it!

a little update

hoping that my owen will let me do this real quick..
owen turned 9 months old on may 4th.. cant believe that 9 months have already gone by since he was born.. seems like just yesterday we were bringing him home from the hospital and now.. he just does so much. he is my curious little man who is always watching everyones every move.. almost like he is studding them ..
he is also so busy, playing and standing and furniture surfing.. where did the days go of the little man who would lay in his mamas arms for hours on end and i could just sit there and watch him sleep for ever...
sadly though i can say that about all my guys and each one of them growing way to fast!

spent most of last night awake.. thought that since owen had gone to bed so early that i would get into bed at a very decent time.. yeah right *lol* although it was no ones fault, poor wyatt was coughing and hacking.. didnt think i would ever get him to stay asleep.. so we hung out in the living room and he watched some cartoons until he was deff. out for the night..
of course let this be the one night that owen decideds to sleep all night long and not let his teething get the best of him.
than this morning i had considered crawling back into bed for them few extra hours.. but of course again i started to think.. with the time that owen went to bed he will wake up just as soon as i doze off.. why *tease* myself with a few minutes of extra sleep.. so of course he decideds to not only sleep in.. but sleep a few hours longer.. ah well such is the life of a mommy!
the best thing is he woke up in an awesome mood and that is always a good thing!

well he is starting to demand some time and offering his assistance in typing so i better end this for now...
