Out the last few days! Spent today working on getting all the plastic off the * redneck green house 2.0* ... Maybe I should explain that one. I love plants and since the house resembles more of a dark cave in the winter months (whoever designed where to put the windows did bad planning) a few years ago we decided to invent the redneck green house. My bil had some strong plastic laying around so we covered the inside of the screen porch with it, added a space heater and a humidifier and had a perfect area complete with sun, heat, and moisture for my plants. Come spring we take it all down give the porch a good cleaning and get ready for summer.
Needless to say, with cleaning comes removing everything off the porch and removing staples from the porch which once held up the plastic. makes for a good amount of work and this year I have my helper.. Owen *lol* needless to say it appears to be a 2 day job this year.
Speaking of owen.. He now has 2 teeth and tooth number 3 I expect will be in any day now. He's also mastering furniture surfing and if it were an olympic sport.. There is no doubt in this mama's mind that he would bring home the gold.
The bigger guys are back in school this week.. Spring break didn't last long enough ~ now the countdown begins to summer vacation..

We finally had
Our meeting to get the ball started to see if we can get wyatt into special education next year. For the next few weeks he will have some testing done to see if they can find the answer to why he has the issues he does.
In kindergarten he started speech therapy, something we always knew he would need. Wyatt had and still does have a long list of letter sounds he just can't pronounce. This of course brings out more issues now that he's in first grade because let's face it, if you don't figure that in certain situations the letter C can make the K sound or even the S sound or even be silent well than you would pronounce the word school like skhool, the word can you would spell as kan and certain would now be spelled sertain.
Anyways at grade level this late in the year he should know 120 sight words (that's average) when looking at the sight words wyatt only knows 33 of them, and reading wise he should be at a 13/14 but he is only at a 5/6.
His eyes and ears have both been tested and are perfect so that's good.. Now we just need to see if we can figure out why he's having trouble and go from there.
And you know to be completely honest I'm thrilled with the idea that they have the help for the kids that need it.
And I'm also oh so proud that his speech teacher is as thrilled with the progress he has made since he first started speech because we are as well. He still has a way to go but his progress since even just the begining of this year is something to celebrate!
So that's the update on that. We should be finding out the results of this new testing in a few weeks and have a plan in place for next year before the end of school this year.

About me and mine ~
Hi! I'm brenda.. Loving wife and mom. I live with my family on the crystal coast of NC.
I'm happily married to the love of my life, ron, for the past 16 years. If you ever wonder if love at first sight is real, were living proof. Ron is my best friend, my lover, my soul mate, my world. I don't think I could ever show or tell him how much I love him or how much he means to me.
Baby if your reading this I love you with all my heart!
We are the proud parents of three wonderful boys.
*little* ron is our oldest. He is 15 years old and a freshman in high school. An all around great kid. Loves being outside and has never heard of weather that isn't good for fishing. He also enjoys taking his boat out and exploring the waters.
Wyatt is our second son. A fun loving wild child who is 7 years old. He is in first grade this year and although has some speech issues never let's it get him down. He is extremely friendly and I don't think he has ever met a stranger. He has kept us on our toes from day one.. But at the same time has such a kind caring heart.
Owen is our baby boy. He is nearly 9 months old now and is trying his best to do what seems like all of his famous firsts at one time! Right now its a whirlwind in watching all his newly learned things. Just today alone he managed to pull himself up on the couch and walk along it as well as started to crawl. As much as I love watching him do new things .. A big part of me wishes he would just slow down a bit.
We also have 2 furry family members..
Rons baby girl princess daxie who tolerates me at most. She has been with us for 10 years and I hope will be with us for at least 10 more.
Our newest furry baby is our clyde. 4 month old bullmastiff. He is such a sweetie and has been an awesome addition to our family.
