Beautiful day for a drive...

we spent today driving to the Fossil Museum to let the bigger boys dig in the dirt. Owen stayed the night at mothers house last night and to be honest, would not have been having fun digging in the dirt today with the cold'ness in the air. not that it was overly cold but it was cold enough to have wyatt asking if we could leave not long after we got there, so he and i went and took a break in the van.
the museum itself is still closed but the pile of dirt and rock is always open and full of sharks teeth and other interesting things to find..
i think the favorite part of the trip is the short 20 minute ferry ride that you can take to get there, you can go around but the boys love the ferry ride so we at least try to ride it one way at least. today we rode it to the museum and than on the way back took the long way to enjoy the ride. not that there was a whole lot to see except farm land but it was nice to get out of the house for a bit.
the guys found quite a few sharks teeth and a few bones although im not sure what kind, one looks like part of a backbone and im not sure what the others are, we need to clean them to make sure they arent just rock as well.
so that was for the most part our day.. just a nice long ride and playing in the dirt for a bit.. now things are back to normal.. i got my blog up and all newly decked out *smiles*, the boys are relaxing until its time to get ready for bed, and i think i will toss a load of wash in the washer before Owen gets home in a few hours..
i sure have missed my little guy!
