man what a day!
ron woke me up shortly after 3:30am so that i could get in the shower and ready to head out..
we were on the road by 5am and headed on our long trip to virginia beach Va. Owen did great on the long trip, i wasnt so sure how he would do being that he hasnt ever spent that much time at once in a car seat.. i mean all in all its a 9 hour round trip. but he handled it well.. was deff ready to get out of the seat when he got home but he delt with being it in good when he had to be in it.
he slept quite a bit on the way up, which we expected. i mean 5am is not his normal wake-up time so it was a bit early for him.
we got to the house where the van was and were so impressed on how well she was maintained that of course we bought her right there on the spot. once the money was exchanged and the title signed over we headed back towards home.
managed to sneak out of VA without any issues, we had a 1 hour ride to get her plates.. but she had insurance just after we bought her. we got to the nearest NC DMV and got plates and headed on our way... stopped for lunch and than onward home.
owen took a semi decent nap in the car seat after lunch (not what i would consider a good nap but a decent one at least) and than woke up a bit happier..
im sure he was thrilled to get out of his seat when we got back home but man he did not want to leave the new van at all.. what is it with kids and new cars?
currently the bigger boys are outside giving it a good go over and checking it out really well.. i hope they know they wont be camping out in the van tonight *haha*
