yesterday i was up at 7:20am and getting ready to run out the door.. first we headed to a new (to us) park.. a promise we made wyatt the day before, the playground equipment was nice and i really think wyatt had a good time as much as i believe owen would have a blast there (no owen wasnt with us).. however i was forced into *bench mom* mode due to the park rules of *no over 12 years old on equipment* and as much as i hate to admit it, i dont think i could have passed for a 12 year old. and of course i didnt have my owen to chase or assist in going down slides etc, so yeah *bench mom mode* i had to be in ..
after a bit of wyatt playing in the park, we headed on the small nature trail they had there. it was a nice walk .. Clyde seemed to enjoy it, yes he was with us, he loves going with us and we try to include him as much as we can when we are heading out. wish we could find local dog parks but my search has come up empty so far, so we have been sticking to trail walks with him.
once we got done at the new park, we headed into jacksonville to do a bit of car shopping for mother, found a few that we are going to look at tomorrow with her, one is a durango we have already seen the other is a kia minivan that the dealer is supposed to bring up from wilmington but we will see if they get it up there tomorrow or not. both have their share of benefits and their share of bends as well when it comes to her wish list of wants in her new to her vehicle. the one thing i dont like is she is *putting it off on us* as in saying *well if you think its worth it* argh its not what we want or what we think, its what she wants and what she thinks..
i truly though dislike car dealer vultures and being a saturday in jacksonville they were all swarming. well all except for the first dealership we stopped at. which gives that lot *bonus* points in my book. the man we talked with also wasnt your typical over hair gel'd way to much cologne kinda sales man so that also put a mark in the bonus box for me.. funny what things end them getting bonuses huh?
we did stop at one local dealer that had a few vehicles we saw online that we were interested in looking at and they were your typical down home dealer.
when we got home it was time for me to get busy working on the redneck greenhouse, time to take it apart for the spring and go threw my plants to see who survived the winter and who was beyond my abilities to make green and pretty again. unfortunately this winter on the redneck greenhouse wasnt a good one.. i had ended up having to loan mother my greenhouse heater and ended up having a harder time getting my plants watered due to things being put out there that couldnt get wet.. it was a mess of a winter so i guess i should be impressed with all that made it threw huh?
i think this summer im going to be a bit more picky on what i purchase though.. going to stick with my taller tropical type plants that i love so much, the ones that i know where i would put in a house that had good light vs the gloomy cave of a house we live in now.
wyatt and i worked on the redneck greenhouse destruction until it started to get dark, needless to say todays *to do* list is to finish up the greenhouse destruction, laundry, my clydes weekly bath and washing the van (inside and out).. the guys just headed out to change the something or other in the boat motor with a friend (oil maybe? i cant remember) and do all that fun stuff getting it ready for summer!!
